P.A.s (Program Aides)

**We are sorry, but our Program Aide spots for Summer 2024 have reached their capacity. Please check back with us next year for Summer 2025.**

What would camp be without our beloved PAs ?

Quiet, very quiet.

In addition to the singing, however, our day camp is a great opportunity to build leadership and organizational skills.

You might be hoofing it back to HQ to get ice for a camp unit in the morning, leading the scavenger hunt at lunch, helping the Archery Instructors run a safe session in the afternoon and singing your heart out in between! There are all sorts of ways to be a leader.  Come hone your leadership skills and discover new ones with friends!

Who's Who?  Definitions by the numbers . . .

P.A.s (Program Aides)
Girls Entering 7th-12th grades in THE FALL (not at registration time) who have completed their LIA, GSCO certified PA training and PA Internship hours.

PAI (Program Aide Interns)
Girls Entering 7th-12th grades in THE FALL (not at registration time) who have completed their LIA requirements and the GSCO certified PA Training but still need their internship hours.  Those hours are earned at day camp.

For those earning a GSCO official PA status, time at day camp as a PA qualifies as a PA internship!

Required Training

1.     All PAs (new or returning), you are REQUIRED to attend our Fort Collins specific MANDATORY TRAINING  sessions.  This is required REGARDLESS of official Girl Scout PA training already received or previous camp PA experience.  See Training page for exact date (TBA), location and times.

2.     For a new PA/PA Intern (meaning first time as a PA at Girl Scout event/Fort Collins Day Camp).   Read details on requirements to be a PA at any GS day camp - the completion of LIA (Leadership In Action) badge and attend GSCO Council PA training.

These training sessions will prepare each girl for the fun and challenging days ahead!  We strive to give our PAs a solid camp experience helping out with younger girls in each unit and running the majority of our activities.

All PA/PAI must register online Registration and will be placed in roles based on their application.
All PA/PAI (new and returning) are required to attend Fort Collins specific training session.
PA will answer these three questions in their application:

*Why do you want to be a PA this year?
*Give an example of how you react when things are not going your way and apply that to camp.
*List your top 3 strengths and explain how they would apply to Day Camp.
